Tarte's The Royal Collection Palette Review

Tarte's The Royal Collection is a limited edition palette that includes the following:
  • 16 New Eyeshadows
  • Clean Slate Natural Face Primer
  • MultiplEYE Clinically Proven Lash Enhancing Primer
  • Deluxe Lights, Camera, Lashes
  • Clinically Proven Natural Mascara, Black
  • Deluxe Vitamin-Infused Lip Gloss
From Right to Left: Starting with Top Left Color

The palette has a wide variety of colors and the eye shadows themselves range from shimmer to matte finishes. They are all very pigmented, easy to blend and go on very smoothly. There are not any colors that I would not consider wearing from this palette, which is rare in a palette. The one draw back to the eye shadows that I have noticed, specifically in the shimmer shades is that there tends to be quite a bit of fall out when applying. Even after brushing away the fall out color, the crystals tend to want to stay behind which can be a bit annoying.

The Clean Slate Natural Face Primer feels really good on, but does feel a little greasy. It does do a nice job of making your foundation look smoother when applied after the primer.

I was not a fan of the Deluxe Lights, Camera, Lashes black mascara. It went on clumpy and did not seem to really do much to lengthen my lashes beyond what the multiplEYE primer did.

The multiplEYE primer is fabulous! I would highly recommend it. It not only made my lashes longer, but also made each lash look thicker as a whole. One of my favorite things about this palette. The primer is white and when applied, some lashes will remain white in areas, but when coated with mascara the white does not show.

The Deluxe Vitamin-Infused Lip Gloss is a nice pinky color. However, the lip gloss was a little gummy when it went on and stayed that way while wearing it. I tried it over lipstick and it faired a little better when applied over the lipstick.
