BELLA LIBERTE: Thank you for doing this MAC Candy Yum Yum giveaway for your fans :) I was just curious as to how the winner was picked out. Were all our names written in pieces of paper, then shuffled in a fish bowl and then, randomly picked out? Thanks!!! Stay fabulous!!! XOXO
Thanks for the question! I put all the email addresses in an excel spreadsheet (column A), then I place in column B how many times each person entered by type of entry (Facebook, google friend connect, YouTube). For example, if I had entered the giveaway, column A1 would have my email listed, column B1, B2 and B3 would have my youtube, facebook and google friend connect names). I then selected both columns in excel and randomize the entries with the sort function in excel. Then I went to random.org and put the number of entries into the random number generator. (there were 112 entries for this giveaway.) the random number was 28 - which indicated queencess1418 has won through facebook. I checked to make sure she was a follower and then notified her. (I chose to announce she won by using her YouTube screen name, instead of her full name or email for privacy reasons.) I hope this is clear enough! :)
