Mac 6 Cool Smokey Eye Palette - Purple and Pink Smokey Eye

This is one of my favorite tutorials to date. I love purple smokey eyes and I really love how wearable this purple smokey eye turned out. I am beginning to think the Mac 6 Cool Smokey Eye Palette is a must have item! It's so compact and has such great colors that it's quickly becoming one of my favorites! I decided to re-create the Kim Kardashian smokey eye tutorial with more fun colors and less "cat-eye-like" shape. The result is very pretty, in my opinion. I hope you all enjoy!

Sephora's The Joys of Fragrance Inspired Makeup with Lime Green Eyes

For this look I was really inspired by Sephora's The Joys of Fragrance Catalog. There was a model in the advertisement that featured glowing skin, bold blue eyeshadow and pink lips. When I saw the advertisement I thought to myself, "Wow. I want to do that makeup look, but with green eyeshadow!" Thus, I re-created the model's look using lime green eyeshadows. I didn't blend the lime green up as far onto the brow bone as the model in the advertisement because I wanted to make the look more wearable. Here is the result. I have attached a photo of the model as well as Sephora's The Joys of Fragrance Catalog for you to view. Sorry for the blurry photo of the model. You can check out the catalog below for a better photo! Enjoy!

P.S. I really love the new Boyfriend perfume featured in this catalog. It smells amazing! I also recently purchased Lolita Lempicka Si Lolita perfume after smelling my way through this catalog! It is so invigorating! Yay for good marketing from Sephora! :)

Face of the Day - Copper-Reds and Blues

I was really in a copper eyeshadow type of mood this past weekend so I decided to go for a copper-red eye with blue eyeliner and glowing natural skin. I wanted my eyes to have enough copper-red eyeshadow to stand out, but not the bloodshot-tired-punched-in-the-eye makeup that often comes with a red eyeshadow. I realized if I placed blue eyeliner on the top lash line and kept the lower lash line a deep smokey brown, I could wear copper-red without looking overly edgy or tired. I really wanted my makeup to be fun, but wearable. This is what I came up with. I hope you all enjoy!

Catching Fire (Hunger Games Trilogy) Inspired Makeup

Ok, this is the most unconventional video I have made as of yet. The video posted below is not a makeup tutorial, but rather a book review, haul (I got an iPad 2), and makeup Face of the Day. I was bored/sick this last weekend and happened to lay in bed read the entire Hunger Games Trilogy. This makeup is inspired by Katniss Everdeen, a 16-year-old Hunger Games participant. I was inspired by a description of Katniess's makeup in the second book entitled Catching Fire. (Don't worry I won't give anything away to spoil the book for anyone)! At point during the second book, Katniss meets with her stylist named Cinna who dresses her and puts makeup on her for a public event. Katniss states with regard to her makeup: "But now my face is almost obscured by the dramatic highlights and dark shadows. High arching eyebrows, sharp cheek bones, smoldering eyes, deep purple lips."

This is my take her on her makeup pursuant to that description. Katniss is described in the book as a thin girl with dark brown hair, gray eyes and tan skin. In the book she often wears her hair back in a braid. I tried to re-create her look as close as possible. If you're looking for a great trilogy to read, then check out the Hunger Games! It's absolutely fantastic! (It will be made into a movie and released in May of 2012!) If you are interested in the plot of the trilogy, check out my video. Enjoy!

Face of the Day - The Brighter the Better

What kind of a person would I be if I said I loved bright colors but I never showed you any of my favorite bright colors? Well, I hope I have achieved my goal with this look. I was inspired by all of my favorite bright colors in my collection. I know this isn't a particularly wearable look, however I thought it was really fun. I used an array of colors from orange to turquoise to purple to pink. I really wanted to hit the 80's on the head with my lipstick and blush while still bringing a bit of mystery and fun to the eyes. I hope you all enjoy! Happy Sunday!

Spring Face of the Day with TheBalm Palette

This is a face of the day inspired by Spring and The Balm Shady Lady Palette Volume 3. I wanted to use purple, but I didn't want to do "another purple tutorial", so I decided to make this look a face of the day. I want to let you all know that this weekend and the next week I will be pretty busy with school. I have a pretty big exam coming up and class on Saturday and Sunday (yes, I said SUNDAY!), so my video creation process is significantly hampered during this period. I will continue to do face of the days, but I won't be able to have as many videos for you all. I will get back to normal speed with videos with the Mac Jeanius Collection (March 3rd). Until then, I will continue to do Face of the Day's using The Balm Shady Lady Palette Volume 3 because I think it's a really great palette. Enjoy!

Bright Teal Eyes with Super Nude Lips Using TheBalm Shady Lady Vol 3. & Mac Viva Glam Gaga 2

The first of TheBalm Shady Lady Volume 3 looks had to be anything but traditional. I initially filmed the entire Overview and first tutorial with a classic smokey eye for a more everyday approach to this palette. But upon reviewing the overview video I decided it would be a lot more exciting and fun if my makeup was out there and fun for the first tutorial. I decided to scratch the first overview video and re-film the overview with a bright and bold makeup look. I decided to use teal and purple, because I think teal and purple compliment each other well. I decided to whip out my brand new Mac Viva Glam Gaga 2 for a "make it work" moment. I think the look is actually really pretty and goes nicely with the bright eyes. I hope you all enjoy!

Can anyone say FUN!!!! Tokidoki Perfetto Eyeliners Scream "BUY ME"!!!

I don't currently have a lot of the Tokidoki products, but I'm REALLY glad I have these!!!

I'm not sure what sold me more initially, the really nice streamlined control these eyeliners provide or the incredibly, cute, fun packaging!  I have always been intrigued by the fun packaging of the tokidoki products, but not many of their products have really caught my attention until I found the toikidoki Perfecto Eyeliners.  Each eyeliner shade has its own cool, cute little characters with a bit of an edgy side.

The eyeliners are felt tip liquid pens and honestly give the user tremendous control over what look they are trying to achieve.  No matter whether you want a heavy, edgy look, medium or thin, sleek look, you can achieve it with these liquid eyeliner pens.  This is one of my favorite features of these pens; they offer flexibility and go on very neat.

Another great thing about these eyeliners is that they do not smear, smudge or fade throughout the day.  My eyeliner looked as good at 5pm as it did at 7am when I applied it. I can't always say this about other eyeliners. These eyeliners are being advertised as not only eyeliners, but body art pens that can be used to draw your own temporary tattoos.

I definitely recommend these eyeliners and will be purchasing more when these run out!  I especially liked the green eyeliners.  I purchased the pink eyeliner at the suggestion of the Sephora salesperson who stated that the pink can be used on the lips as well as a lipliner.  I am not crazy about pink eyeliner, but thought it was worth the try as a lip liner.  I tried this as a lip liner and to fill in my lips and surprisingly it works.  I put the liner on and put some clear gloss over it and went on my way.  The shade is a light to medium pink on the lips and works ok with the gloss over it, but I wasn't so fond of it without the gloss.  If I had to do it over again, I would probably have left the pink behind.

Product Details:
The eyeliners come in eight different shades each with their own unique characters and packaging design.  The shades are:  Rondine Love (white), Donutella (medium pink), Ciao Ciao (periwinkle), Arlecchino (dark blue) Mostro (spring green), Sandy (greed), Carino (eggplant) and Sabochan (black).
I purchased 4 of the colors:  Sabochan (black), Arlecchino (dark blue), Sandy (dark green) and Donutella (medium pink).
Cost:  $16.00 Each
