Nail of the Day - Essie Sew Psyched

Essie Sew Psyched was originally released last fall with the Essie Fall 2010 collection. However, I recently saw it in the collection and decided I had to have it. Essie Sew Psyched is a creamy muted army green color. It's a really gorgeous polish and super easy to apply. I wore this polish for four days. At the end of four days, it was a bit sad and needed a few touch up's. So, the lasting power on this polish is probable around four days before it begins to noticeably chip. I used Seche Base as a base coat, two coats of Essie Sew Psyched and Seche Vite as a topcoat. Enjoy!

China Glaze For Audrey versus Tiffany Blue (the real thing!)

I wanted to post these photos before I sent my China Glaze For Audrey away. I couldn't find my Tiffany & Co. box because I had put it in a "safe keeping place" and totally forgotten where my "safe keeping place" was. Argh! I do that all the time! Needless to say, I found the box this weekend and wanted to share with you a color comparison of China Glaze For Audrey with the trademark blue of Tiffany's box. I have promised China Glaze's For Audrey to my cousin who has fallen in love with it! So this will be the last time you will get to see this polish in action on my finger tips. Hopefully you will find this helpful if you are considering this polish for your collection! Enjoy!

Face of the Day - A Pretty Brown Wearable Eye with the Naked Palette

I have been getting a lot of requests for looks with the Urban Decay Naked Palette. I decided to do a quick face of the day using the Urban Decay Naked Palette to achieve a very wearable, yet semi-smokey eye. I think this look is very wearable and pretty easy to achieve. Since this is not a video tutorial, I have added how I applied the color from the Naked Palette on my eye for your convenience. Enjoy!

Nail of the Day - Essie Coat Azure

This is Essie Coat Azure, the last and final polish in the Essie French Affair four-pack mini collection set. As you can see, this is a pastel blue and my favorite polish of the bunch, because it's of course, blue! This polish has a slight shimmer and is very opaque with the first application. I applied two coats of Essie Coat Azure to get coverage for the photos. I applied Seche Base as a base coat, two coats of Essie Coat Azure and Seche Vite as a top coat. I hope you all enjoy!

MAC'S JEANUS COLLECTION IS SIMPLY TOO CUTE!!!

MAC'S JEANUS COLLECTION

LAUNCHES:  MARCH 3rd (US) AND INTERNATIONAL (MARCH)

The Jeanus Eyeshadow collection is simply too cute!

Although we've seen similar collections in the past playing up jean material as makeup (Bobbi Brown's Denim and Rose Collection last Fall), I like the play on words this collection offers. I also think it's awesome how the shadows truly look like jean material. I like the color selection for the eyeshadows as well. I'm totally excited about the Biker Blue nail polish!  I love the black base in it. It should be really fun to wear. I'm pretty excited about the lipsticks as well as I think the color choices are all very wearable on wide variety of skin tones. I've never been a great fan of lipglass, so this won't be a big draw for me, but if you are a lipglass fan, the colors look fantastic!  I'm really curious about the Overdyed blush.  It could be radiant on the cheeks, but this one I'd definitely have to test before buying :) I guess, time will tell :)

Nail of the Day - Essie Nice is Nice

I will admit I really love this color. I know I am usually not a fan of pastel colors, but Essie Nice is Nice is such a cute pastel purple. I know there hasn't been a lot of hype around this color, but I honestly think it's the perfect light purple cream polish. I like lilac colors overall, but they aren't usually my go to colors for nails. This color is a subtle purple lilac and it was just so pretty on my fingers I caught myself looking down to check out my polish throughout the day. I applied Seche Base as a base coat, two coats of Nice is Nice and one layer of Seche Vite as a top coat for this result. I think the reason I love this color so much is because it really compliments the yellow/tan undertones in my skin. What are your thoughts?
