Last night I went out with my friend shopping and for dinner. I decided to do my makeup really dramatic and fun. I try to embrace the times when I can really play up my makeup. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to film a tutorial, but I wanted to still share my creation. I added the hat last minute to my look because I thought it just kept the entire look playful. The fingernail polish was done a little haphazard last minute, so I thought it was kind of funny that some of my nails were painted with Zoya's Bekka and others were painted with Rescue Beauty Lounge's Iconoclast. I decided to take a photo before I'd completed the "clean up" stage of my manicure - as you can see. haha. Enjoy!

Chanel's new Summer 2011 Collection entitled Les Fleurs d'Été de Chanel (Chanel's Flowers of Summer) has a few items that have really sparked my interest. I have already pre-ordered the Chanel Mimosa nail polish and the Chanel Bronze Corail Bronzer. Maybe once the collection hits a counter near me I will make a few more purchases. Do any of these items spark your interest?
This is an edgy smokey look inspired by the makeup I have been seeing in a lot of magazines from Fashion Week. I've seen the red lip as a huge trend as well as a love of smokey, smudgy eyes. I decided instead of doing a full on red lip, I would keep the lips more wearable and trendy and go with a smudged out red lip. I hope you all enjoy!

Here is the gold and blue makeup look from the Mac Jeanius Collection Overview video. I opted for a blue and gold look which is coincidentally the same colors as my high school colors. Goooo Panthers!!! :) I wanted to do a blue look without making the eye completely blue. I have always thought pairing golds with blue can look really nice on warmer skin tones. I also opted for a peachy cheek with a warm nude lip to finish off the look. I hope you all enjoy!

I have been getting a lot of requests for looks with the Urban Decay Naked Palette. I decided to do a quick face of the day using the Urban Decay Naked Palette to achieve a very wearable, yet semi-smokey eye. I think this look is very wearable and pretty easy to achieve. Since this is not a video tutorial, I have added how I applied the color from the Naked Palette on my eye for your convenience. Enjoy!

Mac's Wonder Woman Collection had me really inspired to do a classic Wonder Woman makeup and hair tutorial. Now, I am not a hair expert. In fact, I know very little about hair. However, I have been promising my subscribers I would do a hair tutorial, so I decided what better time than now?
This is a two part tutorial - the first part has to do with "wind blown voluminous" hair. I was very inspired by the comic book art and fan art I found online of the classic Wonder Woman. The second part of this tutorial is makeup. I decided to ditch Mac's version of Wonder Woman (blue eyeshadow and nude lips) and go for the classic Wonder Woman we all know - Red Lips, Neutral Eyes, Structured Jawline and Face Contours, and Dark Eyebrows. I hope you all enjoy!
My Favorite Hair Style - Wind Blown Curls with lots of Volume (Comic Book)
Makeup Inspiration - Red Lip, Neutral Eye (Comic Book)
Makeup Inspiration (Fan Art) - the contoured cheek bones and nude eye with red lip.
Hair and Makeup Inspiration - more structured curl with heavy eyeliner and outer lashes and red lip. It appears she is wearing blue eyeshadow here. (Comic Book)
Hair and Makeup Inspiration (Fan Art) - Neutral Eyes with Nude Lip (I opted for the red lip) with Wind Blown Volume

Ok, so the packages I was suppose to get in on Thursday never came in so the product of the week for this week has been delayed thanks to Mother Nature and a Blizzard! Ahhhh! As a result, this week is going to be a free for all! I am going to be doing some requested looks for you all, as well as, some looks that just make me feel nice and pretty until my packages arrive!
So the first look is this beachy-summer/spring look inspired by the warmth in my body that is begging to get out! (I cannot wait for summer!) I hope you all enjoy!

Ok, I've owned this polish since early January and I have yet to do a post on it. I know! What is wrong with me? Well, here it is! Chanel's Black Pearl!!! It's a pricey luxury which can be found at your local Chanel counter or online for the hefty price of $25.00. I received this lovely bottle as a gift and I am not going to lie, I was totally ecstatic to get it!!! How many girls can regularly afford to purchase $25.00 nail polish? I know that's not what I'm usually spending my dollars and cents on! (I haven't mastered money growing on trees yet! Ugh.)
Anyway, I applied OPI's Nail Envy as a basecoat, two coats of Chanel Black Pearl and Seche Vite topcoat. Isn't it pretty? As you can see, this color is a beautiful deep gray with a teal shimmer shot through the polish. It's gorgeous. In the light it is exquisite. The photo taken without the flash is the most true to color.
